Pheagle is a bit of a weirdo in of themselves. He's been fired from quite a few artists for being incredibly autistic about his football uniform 'ripping correctly', so it makes sense that only weird autists would truly mourn dragoneer. Usually when someone you care about dies, you get tasteful homages that you can keep with you and remember them. But furries have to insert their fetishes into literally everything. It's all so tiresome.

It also tracks that they ripped a scene from bluey for a tribute since furries are obsessed to a concerning degree over a show for literal toddlers but then again, furries. I wonder how much money Sciggles is going to pocket by getting people to 'volunteer' art instead of paying for it. Probably a lot I'd wager, enough to get more props for her disturbing IRL porn accounts.

That about Pheagle surprised me. I saw him plenty of times and I even commented on his pages a few times. I did not know that he was that petty.
Then again, I had that surprising discovery about Microphone and MaxCoyote (before he faked being a girl).

I think that comes from Dragoneer having plenty o fetishes and normalising the fetishisation of a lot of things, hence he would have approved o fetishy or even just plain pornographic tributes.

Of course, furries are attached to Bluey, a cartoon animal show. I am worried abou them ixing Bluey with fetishes (not just cartoon tropes enjoyed innocently), bu they have beeing doing that since Bluey got released. I a more worried at how public this tribute would be. Even if a Bluey background is no that much, wi the YUUGE fandom Bluey has, there are bound to be some people who would recognise the background and tattle to Bluey's brand monitors. Two examples are the Blueygate controversies and Flash-Gitz's Furry Crusades videos.

The mourners are all furries. I don't think it's possible to center one's persona around one's desire to fuck dogs without qualifying as "weird."

The reason why we don't let children make decisions such as this is because their brains are not fully developed yet, and will not be until their early/mid 20's. If we as a society allow people to make decisions such as refusing medical treatment or not evacuating during a hurricane, even if we know it will end in disaster, we have to allow idiot furries to do as they please as long as it isn't infringing on the rights of another person. It's horrible, disgusting, and I hate it, but well...they have to reap the consequences of their own actions. It's far better to focus on people that can be saved and helped over furries hell bent on a slow suicide. He could be saved if things started to happen 2 years ago, maybe more. He was/is mentally a child when it came to such decisions and would need counseling and other types of help. It doesn't help that overeating was his actual fetish.
However, there are other habits that he didn't take care of: Exercise, healthy eating
as well as he vaped all the time and smoked pot.
Last 2 years are just a slow moving train wreck between him hoping he's not gonna die and actually dying. It's always sad to see someone die but still, he didn't take stuff seriously until it was too late. He had to loose weight to basically make him eligible for any surgery because at the state that he's in, he'd just choke to death from his own fat. He was warned many many times before that it will kill him.
Basically healthy at any size killed him, same as it killed the founder. If you ignore problems they don't go away.

And with the fandom's general hatred of art theft (and in recent years AI art), it was an especially poor choice for her to do this, even though she gave proper credit. A starry night sky with a short animation loop would have been incredibly inexpensive to commission, especially considering she designated a chunk of the GFM money specifically to the end-of-life celebration costs. It's inexcusable to pinch pennies on something like this, we're not talking a long animation or super-detailed piece of art which would take not only a lot of time, but money to accomplish.

I mean hell, it's basically just a lyric video. There's no reason why the background even had to be animated except for aesthetics. No one would have given a shit if she used a still piece of artwork, which would have saved more money than an animation loop.
 
They couldn't have been bothered to get something other than what's on the GFM, the person who put the picture there is so lazy. I could cut some slack in the fact that the only other place there's any other real life pictures of Neer is here on the farms since he was surprisingly a private person in regards to photos.

Some of the FA staff will be at Fur The More this week to sell merch in the dealers room as well as host Dragoneer’s Celebration of Life on March 9th at 12pm EST.

REMINDER: The Celebration of Life is FREE to attend, you do not need to register for the con to be there. You will only need to register if you plan on visiting other areas of the convention outside of the Celebration.

That said, we have put together a profile badge for those that have stepped up to help or shown support through all this.

Requirements needed to qualify for the badge are to have done at least ONE of these things:
* Donated to the GFM
* Purchased merch Neer stickers or pins from the Shop
* Submitted art to the Community Video Project
* Sent in other media or stories for the Celebration of Life event
* Attend the Celebration of Life in person
* Attend the Celebration of Life virtually
* Volunteered/helped with the event (even if just online prep)
