Without a doubt, especially programmers. Same goes for imageboards and anything that is considered the "dark web" by normalfags (see: non-social media sites). Always been that way for people to keep up a Jekyll/Hyde lifestyle for how they portray themselves in real life to their alternative persona on the internet to avoid persecution and risk their own career or business. Not easy either since you can come off as dreadfully dull to coworkers if your after hours are summed as "nothing much" when in reality you're reading about the latest antics of Chris Chan and laughing at racist memes, which means you need to create a facade of false interests that line up with theirs on a basic level at very least.
And I'm not sure how old this Kevin is (could have skipped over it), but there may be a generational gap issue since younger adults who grew up around social media, like facebook when they were in kindergarten, are more likely to not take heed of keeping both lives far away from each other. Best thing to do is act stupidly oblivious of even the existence of kiwifarms if brought up in a conversation at work. Calling a tranny by their preferred pronouns is a concession to their distortion of reality, a token of submission to their rapist mentality and it opens the door to more gaslighting.

Calling them by their real sex denies that to them and closes the door on further concessions, that's why they hate it and you should do it.

Once you are in the HR crosshairs there’s little you can do. They can and will play the long game to ensure their case is solid and unchallengeable; but if they want rid you’re gone.

I doubt this circumstantial evidence would get you fired, it would need to form a pattern of bad behaviour.
 
Fong has two problems the longer this goes on:
1) he thinks he has the monopoly on "girr tarks" and back channels because he doesn't understand how women's whisper networks work. They're not online, they will never occur in his presence or the presence of any of his allies or handmaidens.
These networks end up whispering in some very powerful ears, in places or firms he hasn't even considered yet. If he wants to see the effectiveness of these strategies, TERF Island is an example. They are currently in full effect about him, and he'll never know until the hammer drops.
