Whenever I hear "I was today years old when I found out a thing" I want to scream.

"Adult beverage". Just say booze like a normal person. You sound like a toddler. It's not cute.

Backshots and bricked up
Backshots is just stupid and I keep thinking bricked up means constipated

There's this word that I've heard for years now especially on YouTube that's waxed and waned without it never really being noticed, but I still hear it now from time to time and still irritates me. People use "physically" like how people now use "literally", which aggrivates me more than literally because "literally" just sounds like some involuntary intensifier to accentuate what you're talking about, basically meaning what you're saying is not a joke, but "physically" comes off as more like trying to seem smart in some obnoxious band kid type of way by using a very philosophically loaded intelligent-sounding word. It's like people using "ontologically" wrong.

As an example, someone might refer to someone jumping out of an airplane as "He PHYSICALLY jumped out of the airplane" What does that even mean? Physically in comparison to what? Mentally jumping out of the plane? Digitally jumping out of the plane? Spiritually jumping out? There's only one way to jump out of a moving airplane, and that's physically moving your physical body out of the physical plane. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY PHYSICALLY.

I just remembered another one that I've seen used in fandom a lot. "To serve cunt". I have no clue what it's supposed to mean, but it's usually used for cute male characters, because of course it is. Whatever it means, I just find it so needlessly crude.

"LET HIM COOK"
Uh-

"Omg this tracks"
What?

I feel like a grandparent with people these days with how much slang completely flies over my head and I just look at people my age using these terms like "I'm sorry, what?"

Also I was watching US Masterchef's latest season and while this probably isn't fit for this thread, I had to do a fucking double take at;

"I think I'm making a very TikTok-authentic dish"

What in the fuck is a TikTok-authentic dish?

"Our democracy"
"Marginalized"
"Privileged"
"White Christian nationalist supremacist"
"Greedflation"
"Black Lives Matter"
"Reactionary"
"Transphobic"
"She/her or they/them"
"Sex worker"
"Terf"
"Justice impacted individual"
"DEI"
"Undocumented person"
"Prison abolitionist"

?????????????
Are they referring to criminals being busted? What in the commie hell is this? Why are we babying criminals?
They ultimately don't think people have agency, don't think people should have responsibility, and think individuals should not be punished for their anti-social behavior because it's a form of oppression.

"Prison abolitionist"
I know I've seen on Twitter one of those where they were literally advocating serial killers and child rapists could be "rehabilitated" through therapy, but when they were asked about racists, they were insistent on them being put to death. I'm going to search my bookmarks to see if I can find them. It wasn't a larp or troll, it was a 10+ year account with pronoun and Antifa shit.

As for my current year terms that piss me off "extra" "drip" "boujee" "bussin" "vibe check"

"Content"
"Media"
"Piece of content"

And especially

"Piece of media"
CONTENT CREATOR

I always picture a really silly scenario, like what's below, in my head when I hear it.

"What do you do for a living?"
I'm a content creator.
"You make videos or something?"
It's more like content really.

"Racism" was redefined and prejudice plus power instead of what it actually means. Making life infinitely more complicated for both racists and racist niggers, as racism and prejudice are theoretically marginally different when it comes to ethics somehow.

They ultimately don't think people have agency, don't think people should have responsibility, and think individuals should not be punished for their anti-social behavior because it's a form of oppression.
Oh wow. This actually upsets me on a fundamental level. Yeah I'm sure the victims and survivors and loved ones of people actually impacted by crimes done by sociopaths totally feel bad for the poor justice impacted individual. Boo hoo, poor child rapist.

Also some of those changes are completely needless and just makes the words stupidly long. It's completely arbitrary.

"Thats so valid"
"Youre so valid for that"

"I don't need you to tell me how valid my statement is. I'm the one who said it, I know how valid it is".

Really any of those nonsensical affirmation words or phrases just irritate me. They're just a bunch of meaningless empty words that say and contribute nothing
