Afghanistan collapsed catastrophically but even the ANA fought for months and suffered actual casualties. In theory, there is no real upside for the Rebels to massacre the Russians but since they aren't exactly the most disciplined bunch and ate russian air strikes for nine years they might not care. The collapse of Zaire in 1997 is the closest I can think of.

Plus the rebels that have taken control of Syria likely aren't too interested in negotiating with the country who bombed them and killed their people on behalf of their enemy for the past 13 years, let alone allowing them to remain in control of the bases they used to bomb them.
