The first one is better by a long shot. The hard shading works better on a shirt, where’s the softer shading on this one just looks busy and confusing. The shading in the first is also more consistent; white is used as both highlight and darkness in this image.
The fringe of the cape coming up past the beak breaks the flow and looks disconnected from the rest of the image. The cape on the first one has cohesion through maintaining the angular style.
The pose is better on the old one, it’s confident and majestic. This one looks like it’s fat and about to fall over (which I guess is accurate to users of the Kiwi Farms).
Slap the KF runes from this one on the original.

The current revision of the shirt design seems a bit too "clean" to be on a shirt I guess? less like "clean" and more like "over-complicated"? It's a really nice design but it feels more "art print to hang on wall" than "shirt you'd wear" if it makes any sense. The amount of realistic shading on the bird makes it look weird compared to the earlier one. Maybe making the sketchy lines harder would help it? I'm fucking tired as hell right now so I can't really draw coherently so excuse the sloppiness, but the outline focus here is like what I'm talking about here.


I've actually been drained as fuck every time have free time (ironically that shits also spent taking care of a dog) so I only managed to get out a rough revision going NOW of all times. Universe just never fucking lines up lately it's surreal how much of a bust this year has been in terms of me getting anything I planned to get done actually done. been a death by 1000 cuts kind of last four years honestly.


Not quite how I'd like it yet still but the concept's visible, corn texture's surprisingly a pain in the ass to get right at a simplified style. I'll keep working on it because I've dedicated myself to making this fucking stupid thing even though it's completely useless lmao.

The teeth on the bottom of the skull look like bird talons fingers at first glance, which made the whole thing confusing to me at first. I am not an artist but if the teeth were removed I think it would seem less busy and have more clarity without obfuscating that it's a skull being stepped on. But it looks cool otherwise. I just don't know if I could wear it publicly because it has KF on it.

It looked like fingers rather than talons, which is what I meant. Like there was a hand holding it from the bottom, and the skull was cut out and used here as an asset.
