Is there a single inch of the tech community that isn't infested with batshit troonery? Genuine question. I'll even learn opcodes and how to reverse engineer tech from the '60s if it means avoiding all troon drama; please please please I just wanna grill code for god's sake.
The only way to have a tech community that does not have elements that don't offend you is to create your own tech community.
Plenty of projects can be done by a small number of people if that's your thing. But these days the terms like master/slave, male/female, even black/white are getting replaced because someone, someplace is offended. Companies will make the change as they don't wanna lose a sale over something that they otherwise don't care about.
You could fight the word changes or just shake your head and see if there is a fight to have that might matter more.
Actually hilarious how vtubers went from.. idk. Somewhat respectable grifters of weebs, to this kind of high school terminally-online teen e-dating shit.
Drama gets attention. Grifters just grifting is boring. Look at Jeremy Dale Hambly. Damn good at his grifting yet his thread here is dead as he seems more sober as part of his training for the fight that didn't happen. He gets drunk and stupid and then he gets attention. Content creators not doing drama generally don't make money as easy as those who do.
It's like watching red pill content. No one cares about some gal who dates and gets dumped a couple of dates in. But make that a story about how she brought 25 family members and run up a $3100 bill and THEN complain how the new date failed a generosity test and you've got a story that others will hear about. A gal getting divorced, meh. She then posts about how it was a dumb move on her part and someone might repost it. Have her crying and now it WILL get covered over and over.
Drama attracts attention and that attention is why you notice it more.
From what I seen the more complex the tech is the more troons there are.
If you want praise from others and don't have land or kids to take care of working on code and sharing it is a better use of time than logging into Disney+ and watching the dreck and then posting angry missives about how you are not being represented on the screen.
Orbiter license sidenote:
Interesting that Inochi2D is 2 clause BSD license but you can't get it ready to go on BSD but it is ready to go on linux/windows/mac. Hector's gnu faggotry strikes again! Hector doesn't like people tied to BSD I guess.
