I remember, but it was only the West Germans ( and the Poles) who really believed that, and honestly, having dealt with the W. Germs BITD, and even worse, West Berliners, I wish Reagan or Gorbachev, or both, had dropped a few nukes on the Heimat. K.H. ought to be the nominee. Not Kamala Harris but Kathy Hochul. She's a nasty piece of work -- a less hateable and more competent and machiavellian version of Hillary-- and will deal with Trump quite well. Look how she handled the Cuomini. Kamala "Word Salad" Harris is less coherent than Biden. A Trump-Harris debate will be even more disastrous than the Biden-Trump debate. But we know from that font o' political Wisdom, P.S. Tomlinson, debates don't matter and people forget about them immediately. Piggy is going to get his bitch tits twisted every which way as the Dems squabble about the nominee. Whatever the result, Patso will be dead solid wrong, in the stupidest possible way.

Like many titles and awards, the title of LOTY really comes down to "Yeah, but what have you done for me lately?" It is often determined not by what you did that year or vote-eligible season, but how recently you did it. If you look at it on paper, Patrick is the clear winner of LOTY 2023, but Rackets got the award because the Mandy situation happened very close to when voting opened.

In comparison, the Rackets-relevant events of 2023 don't compare to Patrick's, which among other things, includes finally paying Quasi. Though some people still insist that Rackets was constantly producing interesting milk all year (I disagree of course). Also, Null's continual shilling of Boremanjack took votes away from Patrick.

If Rackets' legal stuff keeps getting pushed down the road, the bodycam never drops, and he doesn't do anything mildly interesting for the rest of the year aside stream incoherently, I think that Patrick can still take LOTY 2024. But, he must manage to REALLY chimp out in the last half of the year. If we assume that it finally being "Joever" seriously cut the last thread of sanity his fickle brain has managed to keep in tact all this time, then we could see some truly magical things from Patrick in the coming days. I hope we see some legal case activity soon.

People say "narcissists don't commit suicide" so much the sentence would be worth one cent if it could be sold and while that is said for a reason, there are exceptions to every single rule. Narcs do commit suicide, just not with frequency.

Usually if a narc commits Canadian healthcare they take people down with them, like their family. See: Josh Powell.

Consider also that narcs typically have at least one other mental disorder going on.

Yeah, there was a bit of that, too, with Ronnie (and Thatcher) but I do think that the anxiety was somewhat justified given the state of the world around that time and a lot of what he was able to accomplish. WW2 was about as far away as Reagan's tenure is to the present day (dwell on that and feel old), so Fat Man and Little Boy were still fresh in the minds of people, and shit like Chernobyl helped remind the general public, as well as shit like the '79 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Compared to present day when a terrorist attack had people thinking WW3 was going to happen....despite the US sticking their dicks into the aforementioned Afghanistan conflict and the Gulf War in the 80s and 90s, amongst a whole host of other conflicts.
