The same "Record Access" document says under subsection 1 "Upon request to a custodian, a person shall be allowed to inspect or to obtain copies of original versions of records that are accessible to the public in the place where such records are normally kept, during regular working hours. "

He was at the hearing where it was presented and he had a lawyer. Also, the laws that make it protected are for the kids, not him. No current charge against him is enhanced or reduced by the results of that drug test. If they hit him with new charges, the results would be public as part of trial evidence. I guess he could argue it taints the jury pool but it would be the same as the search warrant or body cam tainting the jury.

The people that had their rights violated by the leak are the kids, not Nick. Both the custody case and any future lawsuit regarding privacy are civil cases. Nick can be mad as a dad that his kids info was released but I don't think it has any bearing on his crim case.
