A couple thoughts on the search warrant and associated.
1. Either Kayla used to be a passable mother, or the nanny was doing a lot, a lot of heavy lifting. A household with that many people will break down fast if no one is keeping on top of it.
2. Nick mentions again in the leaked documents that he was so stressed because of the children's activities. He also said this to Aaron. The girls' dance information is easy to find and they had three girls in 3-4 classes per child, which adds up to up to 12 hours a week doing dance, time waiting around between classes (these types of classes never line up neatly) and an unknown amount of travel time. The studio puts everything online and it's equally easy to see that the dancing is very low quality. I mean, really bad. He's not running around to indulge their phenomenal talent.
3. Contrary to what Nick represented, none of these places are far from his house. His son's school was a 20 minute drive. The dance studio was 15 minutes away. The church and home school co-op were right in his tiny town.
4. They would have been home schooled through Grace Homeschool Cooperative. It's run by the same lady, Paula Holden, who does children's services at the church and reported that the youngest was dirty and hungry. Paula seems highly industrious. She runs a ton of programming out of that church.
5. Their church is a srs bzns church, very conservative. The Rekieta boys were confirmed the first week of May. That's kind of odd given that their parents are coke-snorting heretics. Good on them I guess for keeping the kids close even as the parents were unimaginable degenerates.
