And the system just shrugs and doesn’t care. The system shouldn’t be used to help people like Nick honestly because he has a family. That’s the family’s job. The system should be used to help the millions of people that don’t.

I’m thankful there seems to be a more concerted effort from people in the last several years to make it better. We just aren’t going fast enough.

Not everyone is helpable. Not everyone wants help and you are treading a dangerous line to suggest they should be forced to get help. Yes Nick has a family, and that means his parents and extended family could potentially step up and take the kids. I'd rather see that happen than see their parents endanger them and let them get molested by strangers. I know people with much worse issues than Nick and they are the ones who should get help long before some millionaire who's bored with his life and wants to experiment with drugs. His family can't do shit about this anyway, as I've said repeatedly, you cannot kidnap someone and force them to go somewhere or do something they don't want to do.

Going to rehab, getting clean, will not only benefit them, it would take a really mean judge to not consider it as a positive action by them. It would probably lighten any sentence they have.
