It's relevant because people are blowing Nick's refusal to provide the door code way out of proportion when he wasn't even at the house.

From a police or EMS perspective, every second counts when a child is potentially in danger, but then maybe I'm not focusing enough on Nick's legal needs.

A warrant can usually be granted inside an hour. I don't think they have a valid urgency claim because the inital report was a full week prior and there's nothing indicating either on-site distress or drug paraphernalia visible from the outside.

Nick avoided some bullets by being arrested now.
  • He did not burn down his house in drug-induced haze.
  • He did not crash his car while deep in the K-hole, causing serious bodily harm or death.
  • He did not get April or another side piece knocked up (as far as we know).
