It's worth noting that Cecily played an active role in getting Tori expelled from at least one of her schools. When she found out Tori wouldn't get to wear a costume in her preschool's spring performance of "Annie," because that was reserved as a reward for well-behaved children, Cecily lost her shit. And she blogged about it, discussed it on FB and on Twitter, including details of Tori's bad behavior as discussed with the preschool's director.

And on and on. Tori also kept coming in with lice and infesting other kids. Cecily blogged about how she felt the preschool director was picking on her daughter and being unfair, and that it was "horrible" of the director to say her daughter wasn't living up to her potential (see above). It was true, but it made Cecily FEEL bad, so by her logic it was horrible to say the truth out loud. After repeated conversations with the preschool director about the wisdom of blasting every detail of Tori's hygiene issues and bad behavior on the internet, finally the school declined to continue trying to help the child overcome the bad parenting she was receiving at home. And of course Cecily blogged that too.

When Tori got to public school kindergarten, she fared no better. She was repeatedly in trouble for acting out, disturbing lessons, hitting other children, and generally not knowing how to listen, take direction, or refrain from assaulting others. Charlie and Cecily claim this is proof that their daughter is "fierce" -- too "fierce" for public school. So she was yanked out and put into a school that has zero structure, no instruction, minimal adult supervision, and is more of a glorified daycare than I can even describe. But they think because their child isn't being challenged, or taught to behave, she must be doing great.


CPS should be yanking her out of their home, but unfortunately even kids who have lit cigarettes stubbed out on their faces are allowed to remain with their parents. Unfortunately it looks like Tori is stuck with these assholes until she finds a way out. I hope she doesn't find an escape through a gang, teen pregnancy, or some other awful fate. Her parents would probably applaud the above as further evidence of how their "fierce" daughter is sticking it to "the man."
 
I actually think Tori might actually need to be put into a group home, or foster care. Clearly her abusive fuckwits of 'parents' are not even giving a shit about their daughter.

Bear in mind this girl is nearly 11 years old. What they are doing to her, depriving her of education and the most basic skills needed to make her way in life, is as shameful as the fact that they keep patting themselves on the back for it on social media.
 
That's incredibly disturbing, but still, thank you @exceptionalgoogle . Cecily seems to be simultaneously proud of her daughters poor behavior when other are subjected to it (something she must see within herself, like not being mature enough to not reduce your daughter into a sniveling, quivering ball of tears because you were annoyed her fear of riding a horse alone came before some kind of paranoia of being massacred at a mass bombing, then graciously forgiving herself for her behavior only to go on and repeat it towards Tori countless other times), and also have disdain for it when she's the focus of it. Neither her or Charlie want to take responsibility for her and take deep offense when others do and hold the child accountable for her actions, just as they always take offense to being made accountable for theirs.

If Cecily was smart and hungry enough for attention she could spin the expectation of her daughter to be accountable for being disruptive in class and violent as racist, because blacks students who do the same are excused as needing to learn differently by the social circle she desperately wants to be apart of. Maybe her next clickbait article about shipping her daughter off to IRL Lord of the Flies will have a title along those lines.

It's infuriating to consider the amount of cognitive dissonance in play for her to find her own kids behavior insufferable and then expect others to tolerate it, I'll continue to believe it's a projection of sorts.

The thing about being a parent is this: you absolutely want your children to do better in life than you did. You want to see them soar, to fulfill their potential, to do what they thought they'd never be able to do. It's crushing to watch them try and fail, but it's part of the gig. You're teaching them how to survive for the day you inevitably are not there to take care of them.

But not with these assholes. They don't want Tori to get too literate or too cultured. She might cotton on to the fact that her parents are shiftless, worthless losers who have made decision after decision that deprived her of opportunities to fulfill her potential. They don't want her getting too uppity.

Charlie defines himself by his defiance of "the man," by his lifelong goal to be unemployable (congrats, you've achieved that in spades), by how superior he feels to those fools who actually work for money instead of going into foreclosure, bankruptcy, and the ghetto--sacrificing $75k in home equity because he couldn't be bothered to get off his fat ass and push a broom or something. They only had about $3k left to pay on their mortgage when they let the bank take their home. They couldn't even manage their $350/month bankruptcy payments. But they sure had funds for MacBooks for Charlie and Cecily, all the latest iPhones and accessories, M.A.C. makeup for Cecily (for all the good it did her), trips to blog conferences and Whole Foods steaks. Sure, those funds came from online begging campaigns, but they made it work--for a while.

But Tori is the one who's been sacrificed in all this. And I'm not just talking about her having to sleep on secondhand sheets from Craigslist strangers and going without birthday gifts and an education. One of the cruelest things Cecily ever did to her was in 2014, when Tori was 7 years old. Her long lost half-sister in the southwest was due to get married in August. Cecily wrote constantly about how excited Tori was to go, to be in the wedding, to pick out a pretty dress to wear. This went on for months, with those who know Cecily and Charlie willing to bet money they'd never make the trip. And indeed, August came and went and Tori was crushed when she was told there was no money for her dress, for the trip, or for anything else they'd been promising her for the better part of a year. And whose fault was it? The man, and internet "haters."

Cecily and Charlie couldn't stand it if Tori realized THEY are the ones who've been showing her a lack of love. Tori, like every child, deserves so much better. These people are the fucking worst. That they are fat and ugly on top of it is almost not worth mentioning.

I've also got ten quid that says Tori isn't vaccinated because vaccines give you the 'tism.

the school is what is really getting me here. i can't believe how delusional a kid's parents would have to be to PAY to send them to a place like that. i wonder if the people running the school are aware that they're scamming lame hippies out of their money, or if they're seriously convinced that their fancy daycare is actually comparable to a real school. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION IN SOME ROOMS. that is so beyond fucked up. imagine how severely younger kids are getting bullied. with tori's violent behavior, i wouldn't be surprised if she were harassing other students.

public schools can be shitty at times, but it sounds like the previous school she was enrolled in was actually concerned for her behavior and was trying to help. even the shittiest public school with common core education and rude teachers would be more effective than the daycare tori is attending. i wonder if there's any more info on the school, or any previous attendees calling them out on their bullshit.

i don't think i've actually hated another lolcow since rain florence.

I don't even understand how that kind of school can even exist. I always envisioned the public school system as the last line of defence against inept parents. Even if the kid lives with two dangerous hipsters that are hellbent on making him a non-functional r.etard, he would at least be provided five times a week with the education and structure he'd obviously never get at home, and stand a chance of becoming a normal, productive adult.

But these "schools" are cesspools of SJW-related bullshit and lack everything an infant would need to grow-up into anything else than a total fucktard. They're basically pigpens where you can dump your child and take him back later.
 
First time I saw the thread and it's subtitle I thought 'nah, OP's just exaggerating.' Nope. Holy shit. That kid has no chance of a proper life. Hell it's almost a blessing in disguise that the twins never made it...

this is disguising on so many levels. A kid is not a toy ffs! What they have done to their own kid is so damn horrible. Tori is getting her life destroyed and I will not be surprised if she kill herself when she is a teen. Or maybe she will kill her deadbeats of parents.
 
Holy Jesus. The only good outcome I can imagine is Tori eventually growing up and rebelling by becoming a well-dressed, conservative businesswoman who makes a lot of money and sticks her elderly, useless parents in a second-rate nursing home where they don't get a say in anything. I doubt it'll happen, but it feels good to imagine.
