What I say now may seem disconnected but journalists never liked games. 20 years ago they tried to ban games through massive propaganda (I'm not exaggerating, look into what Germany tried early 2000s). Now they try to turn it into a fetish for trannies and narcissists. Normal people aren't allowed to enjoy it, it's as almost we don't exist. And we're the target audience, we actually buy the games and not only blabber about the story needing this or that when it doesn't need anything.

Referring to the video I linked: First clip is from a German news report from 2006. The journalist in the video starts with "just like the school shooter from Emstetten, the culprit from Erfurt was known as a counter strike player for a long time." --> reality: he didn't play counter strike.
Journalist says "This is the repeatedly mentioned game Counter Strike." -->reality is, counter strike was released in 2004 and the amok run happened in 2002, could only have been the original from 1999.
Journalist talks about the game mode death match. --> it's not part of 2004 counter strike.
Journalist also shows a picture of Half Life Deathmatch while talking about Counter Strike.
Journalist talks about "the kids have to do an attack: run through streets, across places or through empty buildings. Then they have to shoot or it's their turn [to get shot]. Blood is spattering, sticks to the walls. The kids climb over ripped corpses and wait for the next enemy. Game is released for 16 years and older." Reality: blood got removed from the German version. The game was released for 18+, as mentioned beforehand. There are no ripped corpses in any version.
Journalist talks to a computer expert which works for the news station and he talks about the game mode capture the flag. This game mode does not exist in Counter strike. He also says he has to invade the enemy base and capture it. But capture the flag means, go quickly to the enemy base, steal the flag and bring it home.
Journalist talks about GTA San Andreas: "You walk on the street with a chainsaw under your arm. A girl with black hair randomly walks by. You take the chainsaw and cut off the legs. Blut is spattering. Then you cut into the belly, blood is flowing on the asphalt. Then you use the chainsaw again and cut off the head. The girl falls over, heavily bleeding, into a bush. Reality: described scenario is not possible in the English or in the Germa version.

Some politician talks about WoW, how people take over military roles to work towards the goal of winning a war.
Another journalist talks about how a teenager used a brutal ego shooter to train his aiming skills. They then show Doom. Reality: Doom has no age rating and was only allowed to be sold to adults.
Next clip: journalist talks about the school shooter kills his teacher and classmates how he practiced it in his computer games. Reality: he played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Uneal 2, Hidden, Half-Life, Die Hard, Gothic, Hitman, Quake 3 Arena, Quake 3 Team Arena, Medal od Honour, Soldier of Fortune. None of these games have the goal to kill teachers and students.
In this fashion, all the reports keep going. They always bring in a expert saying ego shooters, RPGs and fantasy game are violent. They come up with ridiculous lies and fake studies.

By the way, WoW was ALWAYS shown in the news in early 2000s as reason why kids become violent. Journalists used montages of kids playing WoW while talking about how the game teaches the kid how to live out brutal fantasies or teaches them how to win a war. Germany, since early 2000s, in war with video games.

Apologies if it doesn't fit in but it was important for me to share. I watched the war news vs. games unfold live on TV and it's still in the back of my mind. German journalists and news stations should be held accountable for that. They brainwashed generations.

I get you're rightfully angry at a pozzed industry, but right now you're just basically barking at everything.

I still like the remake, made everyone seethe and allegedly is even closer to the original draft than the original game was due to hardware and time constraints, allegedly. I just wish it was old square that did the game, because there's so many missed opportunities it's insane. Also FF15 is great, maybe fucking play it instead of jerking off to those Gucci Models that are the main characters. And just because you want Turn Based Combat doesn't mean everyone wanted it, there's plenty of fantasy game that are just that. Besides, final fantasy was a game that kept changing the formula with each entry, your point is invalid
