This attitude will be the iceberg to the trans Titanic. The general public ignored the fearmongering of "They're coming for your kids", what do you think will happen when you actually come for their kids, Elliot? Hell, a lot of us don't really care about trans adults (as long as they aren't trying to litigate away free speech), but advocating for "childrens' rights" to self-mutilate is the definitive red line. It will pull out the moderate Dems, Centrists and liberally-minded Republicans propping up your little movement. If you want "progress" for trans rights, you need to drop the "muh trans kids" angle.
This is the underlying crux of the cultural war. The propagation of ideology and lifestyles to a future generation, in your case to allow children to neuter themselves so you can feel a little less weird and alone (and a little better about the mistakes you've made).

The troon is the ultimate manifestation of the shit Hideo Kojima was on about in metal gear solid; the idea that memes are as much the genetics of a human as true DNA. Ideas and concepts, culture, they propagate from memes being planted in and spread to others by word of mouth or indoctrination and this is why we have conflicting ideas, such as to be considerate of others but also strive to be the best at all costs.
The troon is the true form of this. They cannot reproduce on their own. Those that do some modern science horrors of egg/sperm harvesting before getting the snip will raise genetic kin, but otherwise they must prolong their species through memetics. Only by planting these memes in the pliable minds of children will they hope that these seeds grow into the future (lmao 41% especially child bullies in school) so that their ideology is prolonged. They cannot reproduce naturally, so they must turn to the other form of genetic inheritance: memes and belief.

It was raising Series D funding last April which means it is struggling to break even if not out and out losing money. Series D is used for one of two things - expansion in advance of an IPO, or deliberately reducing its valuation to attract new investments. Since Honeycomb's tagline for the begging was something like 'we do best when our backs are against the wall', it was probably the latter . . .and reducing valuation is a giant red flag to future backers; even in the best case scenario it's mortgaging future growth to prevent near-term failure. The main reason I'm not saying Elliot should start looking for a new job right away is that Honeycomb's recent round of e-begging did hit its goal - that will keep the company solvent in the near term and some of the backers might be optimistic or foolish enough to keep investing in the longer term.
Edit to Add: Not a computers/tech person but Honeycomb's website just screams 'scam' to me - the product descriptions are all incomprehensible and reading the customer testimonials left me even more confused since the two buzzwords that constantly show up in there, 'visibility' and 'observability', are used in so many different ways that they are functionally meaningless. Based on my own experience with worthless overpushed software I suspect Honeycomb aims its marketing at managers/project managers who really like metrics and can't see through the BS, then charges enough up-front to make up for all the customers who leave when they realize it's all worthless. There is a reason almost none of the names on its 'customers' page are household names.
Edit x2: Here is a useful link to what Series funding means and here is a Kiwi post showing that Honeycomb announced it had hit its Series D fundraising target in late April 2023.
Do we know anything about the other executives at Honeycomb? I agree Elliot's job is BS which begs the question how he's kept it for as long as he has - they would have to be horrifically incompetent or corrupt to tolerate his behavior.

A little, but we could probably learn a lot more if somebody wants to look into the full database search list I posted earlier. I didn't delve through it that hard, but I noticed that there were inferred salaries for Elliot from one.
I did the search with just Elliott's honeycomb email address and it kicked out a whole bunch of people, including Charity.

I think you may be misinterpreting the series D funding. Down rounds are very rare, and it's very common to go to series E-F before IPO these days. A $50 million series D is surprisingly small, though. However, the whole field of "observability" is very hot these days, and is essentially about making tools to look through your logs and traces to make sure everything at your tech company is running correctly. This is only a hard problem because most companies these days buy thousands of SaaS products which are all fragile in their own ways.
VCs are very sympathetic to this kind of company because it solves problems for VC companies. When they get to IPO, though, Honeycomb is going under just like all the rest of the unimpressive SaaS companies.
Honeycomb is really Charity Majors' company. She's a classic tech-lesbian who is several miles to the left of Stalin and can barely write enough code to post about it on Twitter to gather a following of men who are both horny and desperate to hire a woman to throw off sexism allegations. Thwomp being a "field CTO" probably comes from his attempts to unionize Google, and Charity's sympathies for that.
