Can't do it. The whole bit with having to remove the "dirt vein", aka the lower digestive tract, full of crawfish shit is a dealbreaker for me.

I'll destroy a plate of crab legs, though.

I'll never eat a cricket or a grasshopper but those little lobsters are tasty.

Nah fam. You eat that shit up and then slurp the "juice" (the rest of the guts) out of the head.

Chitterlings pronounced chitlins. Pig intestines. They are great prepared properly. Otherwise they taste like sewage smells. I can't cook them. You have to find a old nigger woman to make them for you. The fuckers cost more than porkchops now days so I'm not even going to try again.

Hog's head cheese. 100% a hog's head. 0% cheese. That's another one that has to be done right. It's a little harder to fuck up though. It's just fatty sausage.

Opossum aka possum. Don't recommend it. Musky as fuck no matter how you cook it.

Raccoon aka coon. A trash bandit that has lived it's life living off of the land and not your garbage can be good. I'd rate it mid to 8. As with all this shit preparation is key.

Squirrel is chicken but better. I hate it when people crock pot squirrel or boil it some and then fry it. Always tastes like shit. If your squirrel is tough it is because you are cooking it too long. It lives in the forest. It doesn't have all the e-coli and salmonella that factory farmed meat has. Fry it like chicken but not near as long. I don't have an internal temp or anything, but good squirrel is only slightly more tough than chicken and at least twice as flavorful.

Snake can be very good. I recommend vipers. I don't know why they taste better, but they do. The thing about snakes is that their guts are the most atrocious smelling thing in the world. Stick the cleaned snake in the freezer and eat it a few months later after you have forgotten the smell. You don't have to be worried about venom eating a snake. The heat from cooking rearranges and neutralizes the proteins in the venom that does all the blood clotty kill your ass stuff. Just don't cut yourself cleaning the snake.

On the subject of reptiles alligator is great. You damn near can't fuck it up. Cook it like fish.

Frog legs are also great. Amphibians are like in the middle of reptiles and birds. They have some of the qualities of each.

Squirrel brains and scrambled eggs is something that the old timers, now long passed, that I grew up around used to eat. I'm not a fan.

I've eaten a ton of tongue but that's a pretty common thing it eat, same with brain tacos. Only thing I refused to eat was rocky mountain oysters aka balls but my dad would constantly say any fried food I ate where bull testicles to tease me so maybe he actually snuck one in and I just didn't know.
I also really love alligator and like snake but since a family member raises reptiles now it's a bit awkward so I avoid it nowadays

Just your standard white trash garbage meat snacks, sometimes conveniently located in a large jar next to a gas station or small convenience store cash register.

Sometimes you just gotta have a pickled egg from a jar with dust on it on your way out from buying gas.

Scandinavian "ammonia salt licorice" candy. I guess it's an acquired taste and I wanted to try it after reading about it online, but man this shit is weird.

Crawdads when prepared well are pretty delicious but it really takes a lot of them to fill you up. They're a good beer snack though, but expensive if you're going to a place that really knows how to prepare them well.

Prairie oysters - raw egg, a splash or two of Tabasco and Worchestershire sauce each. You drink it like a shot, apparently it's a hangover cure, I just like raw eggs. Not to be confused with Rocky Mountain oysters. :tomgirl:

Barbecue horse ribs. Best ribs I've ever tasted, they're like beef except way tastier. I have never had venison ribs but I bet they may taste somewhat similar. Honestly virtually anything made of horsemeat is generally pretty tasty.

I was at the Asian supermarket with my friends and I found something very curious in the isle of perseves, jars of rose preserves. My little Amerma brain was thinking "that's a flower though." I bought a jar and tried it with a hot biscuit after I got off work at McDonald's. It was pretty delicious. I had noticed customers using jam on their sausage biscuits. I use it to enhance my sausage biscuit experience. Rose jam 10/10 would recommend. Find it at an Asian supermarket or an international supermarket in the Turkey isle.
