No, no. I'm pretty sure the Crewniverse is going to have another project with CN.
Sure, the show has run it's course, obviously. But it had ratings and made money (not much in merch, but it made advertising dollars).
It's a shame that Cartoon Network is a complete shit fest of a company, though. They do bullshit like splitting a season in half and calling it two seasons. Or even worse!
They don't advertise the show they're showing (that's what killed GL:TAS and Young Justice, since they weren't making any money off it, they decided to kill it).

Honestly, I wouldn't mind their shipping if they actually did anything with it other then Modern College Campus Life AU.
I know I asked them before, but seriously. They take a series that has giant robots in space against space monsters, look at that and say: Man, those characters are neat!
Then proceed to write pages and pages and pages of fanfiction placing them in boring, everyday situations.
It's like they want to strike it with 50 Shades of Grey (which was a Twilight fanfic before it became a damn BDSM novel).

It was a poorly written High School AU where the pretty members of Orginization 13 were students by day... NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP GUARDS BY NIGHT!
When they weren't doing all those things that the Nazis put people in concentration camps for.
(God, I hope I'm remembering the title correctly, I gave it a rather lenghty sporking on my LJ 8 years, 3 computers, and ten passwords ago.)

Back on topic, if they are cancelling Steven Universe, watching Tumblr implode over that is going to be fun. However, I'm worried for whatever new series they latch onto.

Once again, 'cancelling'. The fourth and fifth season will be 26 episodes instead of 52. The staff new about this before it was announced, so they'll be able to wrap the series up. But since everything is in the pipe, or in post-production, there's no way the whining on tumblr will affect the ending.
And they'll probably latch onto Voltron (they already are) or whatever else fotm cartoon comes around.
I'm glad Steven Universe is ending soon. It's only brought terrible bullshit.

The Steven Universe fandom is nothing but literal cancer. The fact that the most infamous event surrounding them is a suicide attempt is just laughably sad.
