I love how Phil has a history of always hating CoD but going back because he still believes you have to play day 1 new games to get the views. Which while it does have some truth to it You also actually have to be good at them, phail. It's hard to get immersed when the streamer sucks ass and starts pissing and shitting himself.

I think CoD is sort of like Street Fighter Jr. for Phil. He definitely isn't as nostalgic about it as he is Street Fighter, probably because there's no 4th place win associated with it. But for Phil, he has some moments where he gets to be the gaming equivalent of a 40 year old who still wears his highschool letterman jacket and talks about that awesome touchdown he threw. With Phil, it's his "beast mode" moments. Or if he's playing a battle royale mode, he gets to brag about his top 10 ranking where he never engages a player and hides in a bathroom for 30+ minutes. It gives him just enough of a dopamine hit by having a ranking system he can place on, and depenidng on the mode, it has minimal gameplay for Phil to endure. The only reason I think it doesn't rank higher for Phil is, while he likes rating dopamine hits, he isn't able to get "bigger" recognition for it.

I almost feel bad for Phil because the solution to many of his problems would be for him to have friends who sit down with him, talk and have a normal back and forth with in equal levels. He really, really needs to talk to more normal folk.

Actually playing the game would help too. If im on the fence about a game ill tune into random streamers to see if the first few hours of the game looks enjoyable to me.

Unless that random streamer is Dave, then instead of gameplay id get:

• Recap segment where he talks about games he played last week (Why?) instead of talking about NEWGAME.
• Schedule segment where he talks about how much he will play NEWGAME in the following week instead of just playing the game.
• Gaming 'news' where he reads twitter click bait, offers no insight, and of course none of it is related to NEWGAME
• Q&A segment instead of just ending the podcast (i thought this was a game stream) and playing the NEWGAME
• (Why is he answering question about if hes ever pet a skunk? It this stream for retards by retards?)
• 30 minute bathroom break, but its chill because he didnt monitize me.
• Finally, NEWGAME time! No wait time to explore every single combination of settings in the option menu for 30 minutes.
• Ok NOW its NEWGAME time! Oh no, game has a character creator, fuck you, enjoy watching a fat balding man spend an hour lying about his hairline.
