🦊 Furry Fredrik Knudsen / "Down the Rabbit Hole" Guy / Loren The Owl - Youtube documentarian turned gay furry vtuber

I was watching a Mati episode from January 13th of this year. And there was a superchat about Fredrik.

Null didn’t even seem that surprised that Knudsen was a Gay Furry. He remarks that

“Yeah that makes sense, that makes sense. To be honest with you”

Ostatnio edytowane:
I remember specific words in his eight minute video like hate or bigotry that just smacked of moral relativism.
He used the term "lived experience"
I repeat, he used the term "lived experience"
I don't think any human being who's got their marbles together has ever unironically used the term "lived experience" without being prompted to

I'm just glad he's kept himself alive, and isn't working on his channel purely out of mania, but motherfucker, how are you gonna name your series "Down the rabbit hole" and not make your fursona, or really weird, ageless, all powerful vtuber character, a rabbit after 3 years of letting the channel rot?
The rabbit market is dominated by female characters like Pekora or Pippa. Especially when the latter does his pop culture rabbithole schtick as well.

Streaming, Anime, Furry culture, Vtubing, and Transgenderism. These are 5 ingredients that will lead to a slow death of a content creator.

Am I the only person who is completely baffled as to how this guy has 1.2 million subscribers? The last video he uploaded was in June 2021, over two years ago. In the past five years he's uploaded a total of eight videos. I don't care how good those videos are (and, let's be honest, they're not that good) that's essentially nothing in terms of content compared to other youtubers with a comparable amount of subscribers.

I can understand how a youtuber who uploads that infrequently could develop a small cult following that eagerly waits for each new video. But over a million? How? It just doesn't add up.

Legacy subscribers. There was a time he somewhat consistently put out decent videos, so his current sub count probably reflects people who subbed 4+ years ago who never bothered to unsubscribe. For me personally, I probably won't unsub from someone unless they put out either a.) too many videos that I don't care about, thus shitting up my sub feed or b.) their content quality dropped substantially and noticeably since I first subbed.

It's probably easy to forget that - for a lot of people - his videos were the standard for YT docs that covered obscure topics, especially for people coming into this thread with little context besides "furry faggot YouTuber acts like a faggot."

It may have to do with being in the right place at the right time making the right thing for the Youtube algorithm. It recommends videos based on watch time retention currently and video essays are the perfect material to succeed in such a setup.

He had this many subs after the Deep Blue video came out:

Some random tweet states he was near the one million mark a little bit before the May Island video came out:

Impressively this would potentially mean he's gotten something approximately like two hundred thousand subscribers in a span of two years without posting anything.

The moment they start a Patreon and try to make YouTube into their jobs, it's over.

It's like once they get a taste of responsibility they troon out in fear or something.
Anyone who makes YouTube into a full-time job is a retard.
The people who are successful are good enough at marketing that they don't have to waste most of their time kvetching about the fuckin YouTube algorithm.

No astraline updates this morning. These guys have next to no engagement on twitter or reddit from what I can tell. Merryweather seems active and one of the staff members is spam tweeting giving advice to people applying to vtuber agencys but thats about it. Fred only gets on twitter sporadically around his streams, next one isnt until Friday.

Dicksuckers came out after the last patreon update.

"The potential moral implications of doing certain videos"? Seriously?
There are people out there who will see a video about Wings or Chris Chan or someone equivalent and think that the act of making that video constitutes a form of bullying, because they can't tell the difference between bullying and simply talking about someone in an unfavorable light (or even talking about them in a neutral light but their actions simply speak for themselves).

What made peepa interesting is that she's actually willing to talk about wierdoes on the internet, something Freddy used to do. Now that his friends are primarily pc and he has troll's regret he has nothing to offer but vapid generic historical stories. What's he gonna do play minecraft and watch top 10 funny vids on youtube? If he goes for that shit I doubt his streams will have more than 100 view post debut.

Yeah that makes sense.mp4

I think Jawsh can cosign this.

People really want KF to be 4chan 2.0 unfortunately. If you do this kind of shit, you shouldn't post here, simple as. Especially regurgitating niche memes is super gay. If you're going to alog at least be discreet about it rather than implicating the rest of us. If people scare Fred off the Internet before he starts making cringe Vtuber shit I'm gonna be so pissed.
If it's anything like the telegram channel was, people love to throw around the KF name and yell about troons without being brave enough to have ever made an account here in the first place

Off topic but isn't this the exact same process that Shammytv went through?
Sort of. Shammy seems to have been pre-existing furry and the owl was just a character for the videos, not this whole lore-intensive gay vtubershit we have now. His trigger for troontown was being a fucking intense drunk, telling one of his cohosts he was a nigger or similar, and everyone shunning him for it.

Since he was the most (or arguably second-most) popular person on that show full of nobodies he should've just raised both middle fingers and done his own thing. Instead, self-destruct.

Though the 'gay furry and owls' bit matches. It rhymes.

The cohost? Total nigger, though.
