I feel like this is one of those places where simply avoiding playing at having friends on the internet avoids all this.
If we suppose that this is not some masterful manipulative scheming then I think it can be explained away by nick trying to be a "friend" (according to him anyway).
He's that friend who thinks they know your business better than you, and has inserted themselves in their own mind as your mentor, and seems to be roundly confused as to why someone would not respond positively to this mentoring. I think this tracks with the narcissism arm chair diagnosis.
Can anyone ever really know? Almost certainly not because these are reasonably well known internet personalities interacting as friend-associates and thus their intentions are wholly opaque.

Here are my thoughts. Josh speaks his mind about others and situations yet can get really defensive and passive aggressive when he gets push back on it, regardless of whether he's right or not. Rekieta is a big boy that can make his own choices but I don't feel like Josh reacts all that well to people ignoring his advice.

Rekieta says that Josh is scared of the Kiwi Farms and that makes him easy to manipulate. Maybe that's true I don't know but Rekieta felt the need to qualify that he still likes Josh before he criticises him. Rekieta is MATI but he doesn't want to deal with the drama while talking about the situation.

I don't think that Rekieta is lying but it this is his personal perspective on these conversations that he and Josh seem to be having. Same goes for Josh's response. I will say that Josh can be pretty anal about people directly addressing the points he's made in the way that he thinks is appropriate.
