Look, they don't build cars anymore like they used to. They build them far better. Which is why it's more important than ever to maintain them properly.I've never been a big fan of penis compensator muscle cars but I always thought the 60's and 70's ones look way better than the modern ones. I remember my Uncle had a '71 Dodge Challenger (I think it was, this was in the '80's) and he loved it, but he said it was a pig to drive and he constantly had it up on the lift. When he got it it was falling apart so I think he got it cheap, but he was always tinkering with it, these are cars for car guys that know how to maintain them and it's like a hobby, they're always doing something to them, Pat doesn't seem like a car guy, he's got that sitting out on his driveway, it looks like he doesn't take care of it very well, shit he doesn't even have a garage to work on it.
Like everything else Pat does, he's a fucking poser
Rick's dumbassery aside, modern cars are too computerized and pozzed to really maintain yourself, old cars with minimal if any electronics are easy enough to do and if there's a decent engine in it it'll last forever pretty much. Like old household appliances that will outlive your grandchildren with some care instead of die in five years at best like all the modern crap. That's not even getting into smart appliances because that's an entirely different rant.
Rick however is too dumb to maintain anything, he built his fence backwards, salted his own earth, and built some dumbass fucking chairs just to hit some of the highlights so it doesn't really matter what he drives, if it lasts for any amount of time that's pure dumb luck rather than proper maintenance on his part.
