It's not just that Dave is poor, it's that his poverty is the fault of everyone and everything except himself. He's fucked up his life on multiple occasions by being such an obnoxious sperg that no one wants to work with him anymore, and now he's moved his family to the ghetto rather than get a real job. I would bet money that is one of the chief reasons why he trooned out, because troons are always victims and can never be held responsible for their actions.
I feel sorry for his kids most of all, because they didn't choose this life. Their father is taking opportunity and safety away from them because his troonery is more important than their futures.
