If you put her in a summer camp where she had to cook her own food she just wouldn’t eat any food, and a lot of anachans spend an excessive amount of time exercising to burn what little calories she did eat anyway. She needed a stint in eating disorder inpatient followed by a meal plan, a responsible adult willing to make sure she actually ate the food from the meal plan, and a therapist to help her learn healthier coping mechanisms for the negative feelings resulting from eating. And I mean a proper therapist, not a “gender affirming” groomer one.

Anorexia is basically an offshoot of OCD where they fixate on their weight and caloric intake specifically instead of washing their hands exactly 127 times per day, if you don’t get to the bottom of their compulsive thought process and teach them how to deal with that then they’ll just return to it the moment nobody is actively monitoring them a là Eugenia Cooney or every junkie that’s ever relapsed straight out of court ordered rehab. They have to actively want to get better. And part of that getting better may very well involve going outside and touching grass instead of consooming gender brainrot via the internet but a girl this visibly distressed needs to lay that groundwork in a psych ward first.

I’m not even surprised that didn’t happen since NHS mental health services are just as fucked as the rest of it, they’re alright at acute stuff but if you’re not imminently about to off yourself or actively having a schizo episode enjoy your SSRI script and 2+ year waitlist for 6 therapy sessions. Eating disorders were never mainstreamed and promoted by the media, you never saw a huge push to normalize anorexia and punish people who spoke up against it.

You don’t see anorexia as a social contagion so much these days because transgenderism has usurped it in the “mental disorders that make you mysterious and interesting” leagues. Back in the 2000s it was more common for girls to be anachans in part because you had characters like Cassie from Skins and the main character from Wintergirls by Laurie Anderson who were dainty fragile uwu manic pixie dream girls that also just happened to starve themselves. Transgenderism finally reaching across the aisle to teen girls is especially bad, because teen girls (as a group) are mentally unstable and highly prone to social contagion. Before, most troons were either middle aged AGPs who teen girls would be sheltered from, or batshit crazy gay men who were getting AIDS in major cities and too busy taking dick to tell girls about their tranny beliefs. An aspect of teen girl social contagion is flaunting the signs of harm as a token of envy - its not just that they're crazy enough to cut themselves, or starve until you see their failing organs poking through their skin, its that it becomes a near-fetishized trophy or badge of honor that makes other teen girls envious. Girls look at keloid scars from cutting their arms with a razor and WANT to do that. Its why you can't talk about teen suicide, because some girls are dumb enough to run towards that with glee. Modern tranny ideology synthesizes the main few teen girl contagions of the last few decades together - not only are you changing your body similar to anorexia, and adding scars (mastectomies) like cutting, and adding a sort of Satanic Panic/witch-y mindset of some otherworldly way of being unique, you're utilizing the "not like other girls" mentality to show you're so different from basic bitches that you're not a girl at all, you're a man. Deny them that, and they get to suicide bait for attention. And since women are driven by in-group competition, of course they want to win that competition and do it even better than the other girls being men. When women detransitioners complain about ruining their body with testosterone, the FtM psychos just use the opportunity to show off their body (fucking LMAO at the most womanly behavior possible) and talk about how well their transition was.

I've met teen girls who were smart and level headed, its not all of them or possibly even the majority. But a set of crazy teen girls really can't be allowed to make their own choices. The feminist push to sanitize any sort of gender differences and pretend teen girls are only crazy from "patriarchy" rather than a good number of teen girls being fucking nuts who do need a firm hand to guide them, something we've known across all cultures for generations, is harming them. For example, I've said this before possibly in this thread, but almost everyone I've known whose had some kind of eating disorder went to a private girls school and on the other hand of that, every person i knew who went to a private girls school had one. They used to have almost a competition / semi official league with it - there's defo some social cog in it.
