Oh you bet the rules are different when it’s other groups on the table - then it’s ‘reinforcing negative stereotypes’ and can’t be tolerated. This attitude goes right back to the tumblr days and was one of the first times I realised how full of shit these people are.

These people are so utterly fucking delusional. It was nearly an economic disaster for the West when the Wall came down because absorbing the impoverished basket case economy of the DDR was like a python swallowing a cow. It needed immediate intensive care from the vastly more prosperous BRD.

Incidentally, for similar but more dire reasons, the reunification of Korea would really require significant outside assistance because of a vastly worse economic situation in North Korea.

Ah yes, because children are always born with the same ideologies/beliefs as their parents and deserve to be punished for that, and weren't just victims of brainwashing/mass education methods that they had no say in, because they were kids. The lack of any real empathy in most people today is becoming worrisome.
