People have been telling Nick who the Old Nick was for months now, but his rejection of the idea of hypocrisy on his part makes it difficult for him to truly understand it. Nick's confusion comes amidst saying that he wants to change the show to be more about "relationships" because he hates doing law coverage (even into January of this year), claiming his show hasn't changed, admitting it has changed, denying it again, and now realizing that his show has to change (possibly at the behest of Rumble who wanted the content that made him popular) and now saying his show was always about "covering political/legal topics".

If the concept of Old Nick isn't about the show's content, then it's about his character. These are the people who want to hear about the law/politics/topics of the day but didn't want to support a degenerate hypocritical Christian hedonist and help pay for his swinger-oriented vacations with their clicks and superchats. Some have voiced that it would be fine if Nick did those things but didn't talk about it, but this other group clearly have a problem supporting a closeted hypocrite/degenerate/whatever who claimed to be a heretical/hedonist Christian.

Nick is being honest here. And by that I mean I am getting the feeling that he believes everything he is saying about "Old Nick". That isn't a compliment though, that's a huge problem for him. If someone is lying to the audience or themselves it means they can have a come to Jesus moment and stop. If they are incapable of understanding reality, they are likely lost forever. Based on my previous comparison of 2 v 9 months ago his viewership has dropped by half, and that's if we assume Rumble doesn't inflate their numbers and there's no YT/Rumble crossover. His interaction has been quartered. He has to realize this, and he has to see these numbers. The only thing I can think of is that he's getting so much parasocial interaction from the 12 or so people on Locals that he is inflating his numbers in his own head without rationally thinking through it.

Sure, people get tired of certain types of content and will tune in and out. But you should always be picking up new viewers to at least compensate for it. Look at Emily D. Baker's growth for instance. If your viewership HALVES in less than a year there's no way you can't ask yourself what you're doing differently to cause it. Yet Nick seems to live fully within his own delusion, and that really shows the likelihood of him ever "pulling up" is zero.
