I mean, rate me controversial here, but I don't think you can really compare Gein and Wuornos, despite them both being given the label of 'serial killer'.

Gein killed innocent women and then defiled their corpses for his creepy autogynephilic sexual perversions.

Wuornos killed creepy men who sexually exploit vulnerable, often trafficked women, arguably making the world a better place.

It’s possible that the blood isn’t actually going to be donated.

There are conditions (like hemochromatosis or polycythemia) that are treated by removing about 1/2 liter of blood on a regular basis.

There’s absolutely no guarantee that this blood will be eligible for donation. But it’s the same procedure as donation… just with the goal of preventing the patient from having a stroke because of excess red blood cells/hemoglobin, or suffering liver/kidney/organ failure because the elevated iron levels are toxic.
