Apparently Sam Briton has been fired.

He is no longer listed as a part of Leadership on the Office of Nuclear Energy website.

There was also official confirmation according to this article:
“Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee,” a Department of Energy spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Monday evening. “By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters.”

It also seems that he will be put on trial for the luggage stealing.
In October 2022, Brinton was charged with felony theft after allegedly stealing a woman's suitcase from a Minneapolis–St. Paul Airport baggage carousel on September 16. The criminal complaint alleged that Brinton did not have any checked luggage, and placed the suitcase's baggage tag in their handbag before leaving with the suitcase.[1][29] A hearing related to the complaint is scheduled for December 19, 2022.[29]

On December 8, 2022, a felony warrant for grand larceny was issued for Brinton's arrest, also for being accused of stealing luggage, this time from the Harry Reid International Airport at Las Vegas on July 6, 2022.[30]

In November 2022, Brinton was placed on leave by the Department of Energy, following their being charged with theft of airport luggage.[1][31] On December 12, 2022, the Department of Energy updated its website to show that the deputy assistant secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy was vacant, and Brinton's webpage was removed.[32][33] A Department of Energy spokesperson confirmed that Brinton was no longer a DOE employee.[34]

While I would assume stealing luggage is crime enough to get someone fired, I wonder if investigation into this guy's life will reveal anything worse. As people already pointed out stealing women's clothing is a behavior that can eventually lead to rape and even murder.

There is a provision in United Kingdom law (The Equality Act 2010) that still allows for troons to be excluded if it serves a purpose. JK Rowling just used it to open her biological woman only rape crisis centre.

That being said, there is an upside to this. The upside is that it shits on the longstanding troon claim that the law of the land in the UK (or Scotland, anyway) has always been "self ID".

As in "troons don't need any paperwork in the UK to piss next to your kids".

This proves otherwise, that they need to get a GRC to qualify as a "woman" in Bongland. At least for some things. That'll do two things: it'll immediately cut down on all the larpers who don't have a GRC, and furthermore, give something concrete for GC types to lobby against. GC types can pester their elected representatives to make it much, much harder to get a GRC (or ideally abolish the whole concept entirely).

Sturgeon is currently pushing through a self-ID GRC law, due to be voted on Dec 23rd, that says anyone can apply and receive a GRC after 3 months of "living as their gender". No medical requirements or oversight required. She'll whip it, and it'll pass. They'll be handing them out like sweeties, and this current ruling means that men will literally become women in law.
It's on a direct collision course with the Equality Act 2010, which applies to the whole of the UK, and Sturgeon can't alter that. Westminster will have to intervene, I would think.
It could get messy.
Edited to add: for those unaware, Scotland and England have separate legal systems, but some acts of Parliament (Westminster) are reserved matters, and apply to the whole of the UK. Sturgeon can't fuck with reserved matters.

I think a good way to challenge this would be to argue whether the rule carries over onto other mammals. If I promise to sell you a thoroughbred stallion, am I legally allowed to them pump a mare full of testosterone and give it to you instead along with a GRC I've written up, because it has changed sex now? What about if I deliver a bunch of dairy cows to your farm that are actually bulls, but I also throw in some estrogen vials?

If you're an effeminate gay man, you've known you were different your whole life. You've had people be mean to you about it. Maybe more than just being mean. The other thing is that effeminate gay men don't dress like feminine women do. Gay men don't want to look like women (if they did, they'd be HSTSes). I'm talking about in regular life, not in a drag show context. They have short (but very neatly groomed) hair. They wear pants. If they wear makeup it's going to be natural-esque (e.g., brow filler). It's a look that were a woman to be dressed and groomed the same way, would look like what a lesbian would wear. It would still be way too butch for these girls who are trying to fight all their natural impulses for how to look.
