I believe the area around Chernobyl/Pripyat is still uninhabited. The radiation could go elsewhere on the wind like it did last time but the levels are lower now so it wouldn't go as far probably.

I doubt they're crazy like that. Everyone's going to steer clear of Pripyat, and I highly doubt anything explosive will be landing in it either. At the end of the day, both sides want Ukraine intact. They don't want the exclusion zone expanded to a larger area.
