Far as I'm aware, the banking portion is now off the table either until Trudeau reenacts the Emergency Act or gets legislation passed through Parliament to sign off on him having those powers for good.
 
Can anyone tell me what the "tools" are that were granted to police that now magically makes them able to enforce law? I keep hearing it but no one has new tools except Trudy's new ability to give people the mark of the beast via their bank.

With the bank runs we have seen and the "we was only joking" backpeddaling rhetoric that happened shortly after, I don't see that as likely. We had a 20ish page discussion of the best methods of storing wealth in Maple-Strip 1. We weren't the only ones.

The echoes of that move are going to be felt for a long time going forward. Canadians now know that the government can and will take your shit if it can on the flimsiest of pretenses. Doesn't matter if they are permanent. People know that the EA can be trotted out on a whim which means that it effectively is permanent.

The only way to change that would be to amend the Emergency Act. Make it so it has to be voted in before the lead dickhole can start throwing it's powers around.

Funny how the imposition and revocation of the literal emergency act can be done instantaneously, but it was "impossible" for the feds to even give a timeline on when they'll end the restrictions. Funny how they can move quickly and make "tough" decisions when it's in their favor, but everything related to COVID restrictions "takes time" and "can't be predicted".
