I think it's because the picture is so uncanny. It's a grown man pretending to be a woman, pretending to be a child, pretending to be an animal. There is multiple layers of fake going on; along with an incredibly garish outfit. It all coalesces into a viscerally uncomfortable assault on the eyes.

Um, akshewally, I was protecting it and trying to return it to him. Never mind the fact that I have never committed an unselfish act in my entire life, I decided to just this once. I even offered to trade him my hotel room for it (???) while wandering around in a k-hole haze.

I guarantee he put that outfit together because he went "oh, all of these things are blue, and there's orange on my skirt, top and belt" without realising that aqua, cornflower and navy all clash horribly.
